1. The Sun moves fast. You have to be prepared to capture a shadow when you see it because in a matter of minutes it will be gone.
2. Art mixed with shadows brings out a shadow's personality.
3. Sometimes it doesn't work out the way you envisioned it but the act of doing it anyway has value.
4. There are only so many interesting shadows around the house. You must go out into the world and stay alert. Museums and playgrounds are just a few places I've gone shadow hunting.
5. You can't be brilliant all of the time. [Let shit happen] Don't keep from doing anything just because it may not meet up to your expectations.
6. Having a supportive community is very important. Even if it is only one other person in your corner.
7. Be that supportive community to someone else, it will fuel you.
8. Shadows aren't always dark.
